The Poco M5 was a 4G phone only in all of its iterations, even the M5s. However, excitingly, Himanshu Tandon, the Country Head of Poco and Xiaomi, has stated that the upcoming Poco M6 will add support for 5G.
Notably, the M5 was a unique model in the series because 5G variants were available in the M3 and M4 series’ lineups. The precise chipset that will deliver next-generation connectivity is still unknown at this time.
As we get closer to the Poco M6’s introduction, more particular information will be made available. The twin camera configuration is now visible on a flat camera island, which resembles the design of the M4 more than the M5’s elevated visor-style island.
Prior to this, the Poco M4 5G was made available through Flipkart and launched in India in early 2022 for about $150 for the 4/64GB edition. The Poco M5, in comparison, debuted later in 2022 and had a $152 price tag for the 4/64GB model.
The next Poco M6 is predicted to remain in the same price range given that the M-series is positioned below the X mid-rangers and F flagships with an eye towards affordability.
Additionally, the Poco M6 series is very likely to hit the local market given how well-liked Poco phones are in Pakistan as well.
