Lahore City Traffic Police Issues Traffic Plan for Asia Cup 2023

The Lahore City Traffic Police (CTP) has begun making plans for the traffic flow for the Asia Cup 2023 matches set to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium on September 3, 5, and 6, 2023.

The Lahore City Traffic Police (CTP), according to the specifications, would establish a foolproof traffic plan for the Asia Cup 2023 matches so that cricket fans and residents of the provincial capital have no difficulty.

The CTP has stated that international teams will be given protocol during their travel from their accommodation to the Gaddafi Stadium and vice versa; nonetheless, the nearby highways will be closed for a brief period of time.

Government College for Boys, Liberty Parking Area, and Sun Fort Hotel would be used for parking during the Asia Cup 2023 matches, according to the preliminary traffic plan released by the Lahore Traffic Police.

Additionally, regular traffic patterns will be maintained on Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, Main Boulevard, and Gulberg Road. However, there can be minor delays when VIPs go through Kalma Chowk, MM Alam Road, and other nearby roads near Gaddafi Stadium.

To maintain public safety and efficient traffic flow, 1,000 traffic wardens would be deployed, according to the Lahore Traffic Police. In addition, the government has set up 20 lifters to deal with illegal parking in the region.
