Railways Decide To Fine Those Who Spit On Green Line Train

Tuesday, Khawaja Saad Rafique, the federal railway’s minister, presided over a meeting to discuss the amenities and services on the recently improved Green Line train.

The meeting resolved to punish those who were caught spitting on the Green Line train and causing damage to it. Additionally, the authorities chose to upgrade Karakoram Express to follow the Green Line Express model.

A report on the auction of stores located on railroad property was provided during the meeting, and it was decided to reassess the policy. The meeting also received an update on salary and pension payments.

The seminar went into great depth about how rising fuel costs would affect railroad operating costs.

Last Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially opened the line and inspected a passenger train with recently purchased Chinese bogies.

Pakistan Railways states that the Green Line train will make stops along the way in Rawalpindi, Chaklala, Lahore, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Rohri, Hyderabad, and Drug Road after departing from Margalla station. New carriages that were just acquired from China will be used to operate the train.

The Green Line’s turnaround time is set at 22 hours and will be steadily lowered.

The passengers would be served breakfast, lunch, hi-tea, and dinner during the trip, per the directives of Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq. The passengers will also receive premium bedding and utility packages in addition to these things.
