Pakistan Railways Increases Fares

LAHORE: The Railway of Pakistan informed that they increase the ticket prices of their trains such as Karakoram Express, Khyber Mail and the Rehman Baba Express.

The Ministry of Railway has announced in a notification that the charges of Khyber Mail AC sleeper compartment for Karachi to Peshawar is increased to 11,000/Rs. Charges of AC business class is now 6,200/Rs and the charges of AC standard class is 5,700/Rs.

According to the report, the charges of the economy class of Karakoram Express of Karachi to Lahore is now raised to 3,000/Rs. Karachi Express AC sleeper charges is now raised to 9,000/Rs. AC business charges are now 5,700/Rs, AC standard charges are 4,150/Rs and the charges of economy class is now raised to 3,000/Rs.

Rehman Baba Express charges of AC business class is now increased to 7,000/Rs. AC standard prices are now 5,000/Rs and the economy class charges are now 3,000/Rs. Pakistan Business Express has raised its AC business class charges to 7,000/Rs. The Pakistan Railway will restart their operation of Karachi to Lahore track from 5th of October.

The Railway of Pakistan will restart their passenger train operation to Karachi from the 2nd of October after a gap of one month due to heavy flood situation in Sindh. The Chief Executive Officer CEO of the Pakistan Railway has informed in the National Assembly that the department bear a large number of structural damages due to the heavy flood in the country.
