The train is named after the well-known Khyber Pass, located in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Mail departs Peshawar Camp at 22.00, Lahore Junction arrival next morning at 07.40 & departure at 08.15. The Mail reaches Karachi Camp at 06.00 on the 3rd morning.
Khyber Mail Train Classes
The train provides three types of seating arrangements: AC Business, AC Sleeper, and Economy. Khyber Mail holds a significant position as one of Pakistan’s oldest and most esteemed passenger trains, having operated continuously since February 12, 1920. It celebrated its centennial on February 12, 2020. The train’s schedule involves departing from Karachi Cantonment every night at 22:00, reaching Lahore Junction the following night at 19:45, and departing again at 20:20. It finally arrives at Peshawar Cantonment at 06:00 on the third morning. The return journey from Peshawar Cantonment to Karachi Cantonment follows the same timetable.
Khyber Mail Schedule
The train leaves Peshawar Cantonment at 22:00, arriving at Lahore Junction at 07:40 the next morning and departing at 08:15. The train will arrive at the Karachi camp at 06:00 am on the 3rd morning. If you are traveling with economy class tickets then you can’t expect many facilities as the cabins are old and not well maintained.
