According to authorities from the police and rescue teams, a significant explosion took place in a covered drain at Lasbela Chowk, falling within the jurisdiction of the Soldier Bazaar police station. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was summoned to determine if the incident constituted an act of sabotage.

According to Area SHO Pir Shabbir Haider, a road has been erected in close proximity to the Hashmani textile market, thereby sealing the adjacent drain.

According to his statement, the explosion occurred during a period when a significant number of shops had left to attend Friday prayers, resulting in a limited number of individuals being impacted.

According to his statement, the potential number of injured individuals may have risen to approximately 200-300, given the high level of activity in the business vicinity.

The aforementioned incident resulted in the damage of a pickup truck, an automobile, a motorcycle, as well as several pieces of furniture and kitchen equipment belonging to a dining establishment.

According to Police Surgeon Summaiya Syed, it was reported that one of the individuals involved in the incident sustained severe injuries.
