Former Pakistani diplomat Abdul Basit claims that Ambassador (R) Jalil Abbas Jilani has been appointed as Pakistan’s caretaker prime minister.
Aaj News sources in Islamabad confirmed the claim, saying Jilani was a strong contender for the caretaker prime minister job. They also said he arrived at the Prime Minister’s House on Wednesday afternoon.
